In the meantime I have started to realize that writing about Palenque is a much bigger task than what can be accomplished in a day. I am working on it, but it might be a while until it is ready to post. With another travelling day ahead (to San Cristobal de las Casas) writing time will be limited.
I haven't written anything about Calakmul either, where we spent a very interesting half day on December 3rd, and since we didn't have a guide there I will have to rely solely on the material I found on site and online. This is too much to take on during the trip, so for now I will post only photos from our visit, hoping to add the information later.
